Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American author and designer who has been awarded numerous prizes for her work. She has been a vocal advocate for human rights for animals. Her movies are Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus ( 1969) as well as The Getaway ( 1972). Her desire to be an artist was influenced from her childhood in an New York family of artists. She started as a photographic assistant, before progressing to acting and modeling. The award she received was the Golden Globe Award, for the most promising young talent. Her film MacGraw's Love Story from 1970 was a huge hit that brought her fame worldwide in addition to being an Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe Award. Within three years, she was named the number one female box-office starter in the whole world. Handprints, signatures and footprints were immortalized in 1972 by Grauman's Chinese Theater. Also, she appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, and other films. Moving Pictures is her autobiography, published in 1991. MacGraw was divorced three times.
